Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming shipments of garage doors, openers, hardware, and related supplies.
- Pick and stage materials precisely for daily installation and service jobs.
- Prepare and load orders for wholesale customer pickups and scheduled deliveries.
- Maintain organized inventory and proper storage of garage doors, tracks, and associated components.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting with inventory cycle counts, stock audits, and overall warehouse organization.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with company policies and OSHA standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with installers, technicians, office staff, and wholesale customers.
- Provide courteous and accurate support during customer pickups.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehousing is required.
- Preferred experience in the door industry or construction.
- Experience with material handling is a plus.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets, part numbers, and packing slips accurately.
- Experience with inventory cycle counting is a plus.
- Forklift certification is preferred (training available if not certified).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred (for occasional deliveries, if required).
Work Conditions
- This position operates in a warehouse environment and involves frequent physical activity.
- Employees are required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift or move items up to 75 pounds throughout the shift.
- The work environment may be subject to temperature changes, including non-climate-controlled areas during summer and winter months.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical equipment is common.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots must be worn at all times.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive standing, lifting, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
