Warehouse/Will Call Associate

Famous Supply is a wholesale distributor serving contractors, builders, and remodelers in the HVAC, Plumbing, Building Products, Lighting, and Industrial/PVF segments. Since 1933, we’ve been a family-owned business that treats associates like family.

About the role

Warehouse/Will Call associates handle warehouse tasks and oversee the Express Will Call Counter, where customers pick up orders placed ahead of time. We guarantee orders are ready for pickup in less than 30 minutes. Associates ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and quickly, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Note: Warehouse associates will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product is handled with care to prevent damage
• Attention to detail to ensure warehouse tasks are done accurately
• Keep warehouse clean, neat, and organized
• Urgently pick Will Call orders to meet our 30-minute commitment to customers
• Attention to detail to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately
• Service customers at the Will Call counter to get them their orders in a timely manner
• Keep Will Call area clean, neat, and organized

Warehouse Tasks

• Unloading trucks
• Receiving material
• Put-away of material
• Picking customer orders
• Staging customer orders for delivery
• Loading customer delivery trucks

Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to stand on feet for the majority of an 8-hour day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Forklift experience
• Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
• Experience working in a warehouse
• Experience using RF Scanners
