About the role

Receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, merchandise and supplies in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to various casino properties.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Drives vehicles to transport stored items from warehouse to casino properties or to pick up items from various locations.
  • Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-year warehouse experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Drivers license (commercial driver's license preferred) and must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to operate a company vehicle.

Skills

  • Must have basic PC skills.
  • Must be able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, weight scale, pull carts and dollies filled with items.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and secondary smoke.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
