Job Description
We are the nation’s largest ServiceMaster franchise company and we have an opening in our Chicago, IL branch that offers its employees on-the-job training, opportunity for career advancement, while helping people in need.
The Position
We’re looking for a Warehouse Technician. This role manages our physical resources—including tools, vehicles, and equipment—ensures warehouse efficiency, and assists with equipment safety training for our field technicians. We are offering $22 - $25 per hour dependent on experience. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision along with other supplementary plans401KGenerous PTO
Requirements
- Certifications (Day 1 Required): Current Forklift Certification and DOT Certification.
- Licenses: Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
- Tech Skills: Basic computer and spreadsheet skills: Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Forms, Drive) and mobile platforms (Android/iOS) is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and stand for long periods.
- Restoration Background: IICRC certifications (WRT, Smoke, Odor, or Mold) or 4-Star Certification are highly preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Asset Tracking: Manage, track, and secure shop property, tools, and vehicles.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage shop consumables in partnership with Managers.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate pack-outs and move-backs with the Regional Packout Manager.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all restoration equipment is cleaned, tested, and operational.
- Field Support: Participate in the field on-call rotation as needed during peak times or disasters.
- Safety & Training: Assist with onboarding and training field technicians on proper equipment usage.
