About the Position
The Warehouse Technician oversees daily operations related to the pulling, packing, and shipment of items from the warehouse. This role requires a keen eye for detail, particularly when verifying item numbers and creating accurate shipping labels using electronic systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping labels, maintaining attention to detail in item number verification.
- Stock inventory and uphold cleanliness standards within the warehouse, with a focus on infection control protocols.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for delivery, ensuring they are ready for safe and efficient transport.
- Assist with delivery operations when needed.
- Clean and sanitize medical equipment and supplies in accordance with established procedures.
- Organize and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly stocked.
- Track and monitor sterilized equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with infection control standards.
- Pull and prepare medical equipment and supplies for delivery technicians, based on delivery tickets and orders.
- Inspect all medical equipment to ensure it meets patient-ready standards prior to dispatch.
- Perform minor repairs on medical equipment as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of warehouse or related experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of Home Medical Equipment preferred.
- Clean driving record and successful completion of a background check are mandatory.
- Must be 21 years of age to meet the coverage requirements of companies’ auto insurance.
- The ability to lift, pull, push, and carry objects of varying weights.
Qualifications for Success
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in verifying item numbers, creating shipping labels, and ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
- In-depth understanding of sanitization, sterilization, and infection control procedures, especially related to medical equipment and supplies.
- Ability to follow and enforce strict protocols to maintain cleanliness and a hygienic environment in the warehouse.
- Proficiency in using electronic systems for data entry and creating shipping labels.
- Organizational skills to manage and stock inventory, ensuring equipment and supplies are well-organized and readily accessible.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities to prepare and pull orders efficiently for delivery.
- Ability to identify and address minor equipment repairs and ensure all equipment meets patient-ready standards.
- Proactive approach in maintaining a clean, safe, and operational warehouse, adhering to infection control measures.
- A collaborative and team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to assist in deliveries and support delivery technicians as needed.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with delivery personnel and warehouse team members.

Pay
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
