Warehouse Technician

About the role

The role requires a structured and hands-on operator responsible for supporting warehouse and logistics activities for both the project and future operations. The position ensures safe handling, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and equipment required for site activities. The role will develop into an operational position and will work closely with the Materials Management & Warehouse Lead to build competence, systems understanding, and best practices for long-term operations.

Responsibilities

• Support receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials, equipment, and consumables
• Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies
• Perform safe handling of materials including mining equipment, spare parts, and consumables
• Support implementation of inventory control principles (FIFO, stock levels, traceability)
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels in SAP
• Support warehouse layout, storage optimization, and housekeeping
• Aid with picking, packing, and issuing materials to construction and operations
• Coordinate with logistics and expediting for receipt and tracking of deliveries
• Support preservation and storage requirements for equipment and materials
• Report damaged goods, discrepancies, or risks impacting inventory or operations
• Ensure compliance with HSE, company procedures, and warehouse standards
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics processes
• Learn and develop competencies under guidance of Warehouse Lead
• Submit warehouse and inventory reports as required

Requirements

• Structured and hands-on approach to tasks

• Knowledge of inventory control principles (FIFO, stock levels, traceability)
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels in SAP
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in a similar role or relevant field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Knowledge of HSE and company procedures
