About the role

This is a traveling Warehouse Technician position for a project in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. Big-D Heavy Industrial seeks exceptional, hard-working, lifetime learners and provides the tools to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and document merchandise for delivery return.
  • Identify any overage, shortage, or damaged (OS&D) materials during the receiving process and immediately notify the materials manager.
  • Operate equipment during the execution of duties (e.g., 12K reach fork truck, mobile RT cranes, boom trucks, truck with/gooseneck trailer).
  • Keep an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse through executed materials requisitions.
  • Ensure all merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
  • Ensure products are shipped to the correct destination.
  • Collect merchandise from warehousing and laydown areas safely for transport to project areas.
  • Maintain assigned rental equipment in peak condition, servicing all items after each use (cleaning, checking safety apparatuses, fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, grease zerks, coolant, air filter, required attachments, and proper operation).
  • Build relationships with multiple jobsite personnel.
  • Safely load/unload equipment into vehicles and on/off trailers.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace.
  • Complete daily reports and weekly summaries for supervisors to communicate information, address issues, and satisfy customer needs.
  • Attend business unit meetings as required.
  • Use provided computer software to check out/in all rental assets.
  • Provide professional feedback for improving layout, equipment needs, and productivity/efficiency.
  • Represent Big-D Construction professionally to promote company goals and values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with construction equipment, customer service, basic computer skills, and construction services.
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
