Responsibilities
- Device & Applicator Repair
- Assess incoming devices and applicators to determine the type and scope of service required
- Clean applicators and water cartridges upon receipt
- Disassemble, inspect, refurbish, and reassemble shockwave therapy devices and applicators following work instructions, safety, and quality standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and component-level issues across devices and applicators
- Replace worn or defective parts (e.g., pressure sensors, tubing, pumps and other electrical components)
- Accurately document refurbishments, repairs, parts used, and test results in accordance with FDA (Quality System Regulation) and ISO 13485 requirements
- Complete data entry into appropriate systems (e.g., Excel spreadsheets, service records)
- Use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and soldering iron safely and effectively
- Ensure all tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
- Perform final functional verification on each device before release to inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; support continuous improvement efforts; other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- Minimum experience: 1–3 years of experience in electronics, electromechanical, or medical device repair (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with precision components
- Experience with hand soldering
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting methods
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality
