About the role
The Warehouse Team Member maintains the flow of products from receipt to shipment, ensuring materials are well organized and ready for movement and use. Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, they prioritize product allocation based on facility usage and customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Follow operations tasks directed by the supervisor
- Communicate and execute work assignments to meet department and customer requirements
- Assist all staff and departments, including supervisors, support staff, leadership, and front-line employees
- Prepare duty-related paperwork
- Escalate work-related and interpersonal issues to leadership as needed
- Perform quality checks and report failures to supervisor
- Adhere to Safety and Quality processes and regulations
- Serve as a resource for Safety, QA, and company processes and procedures
- Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience with Reach, Picker/Cherry Picker, and EPJ forklifts
- Minimum 6 months material handling experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Cold storage environment experience
- Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems
- Experience in refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environments
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience following safety procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime, weekends, and varied shifts
- Strong communication skills in English
- Basic mathematical calculation ability
- Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
- Largely static role with standing; repetitive bending and standing required
- Ability to lift 10–35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally
- Operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (38 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Must withstand cold temperatures for the duration of the shift
- Works in a manufacturing, warehousing, and production-type facility
- May handle products containing allergenic food ingredients (FDA-referenced)
