About the role
Havis designs and manufactures market-leading Computing, Mounting, Power, and Transport Solutions for industries such as Retail & Hospitality, Public Safety, Energy & Utilities, Warehouse & Distribution, Field Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Healthcare, and Military Defense. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the picking priority of work orders and sales orders
- Coordinate bin replenishment needs
- Perform daily picking and packing activities on an as-needed basis
- Collect and report data on department performance metrics to the Warehouse Supervisor
- Conduct training for Material Handlers, Packers, and Cycle Counters
- Communicate assignments to warehouse employees daily
- Troubleshoot daily issues associated with paperwork and the ERP system
- Ensure employee adherence to company policies and procedures
- Advise the Warehouse Supervisor on issues of employee non-compliance to policies, procedures, and best practices
- Advise the Warehouse Supervisor on content written in work instructions and reports
- Enter data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets accurately
- Deliver product parts and finished goods safely and accurately to the warehouse
- Transfer product parts and finished goods to designated picking and bulk warehouse locations
- Maintain inventory stocking levels in the product parts and finished-good picking locations
- Enter and maintain inventory-related data in the ERP
- Maintain proper housekeeping of the warehouse zones in multiple locations
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack) safely in a limited-space environment
- Inform the Supervisor when there are issues with order fulfillment or product shortages
- Follow all department and safety procedures of the facility and warehouse zones
- Perform daily cycle counts of product parts and finished goods and resolve variances
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; technical certification a plus
- 1+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience using an ERP system preferred
- Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc.) preferred
- Basic knowledge of data entry in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to push-pull a maximum of 1200 lbs. with a manual rolling assist
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and ladder-climb for more than 1 hour at a time
- Ability to work at heights of up to 20 feet
- Strong attention to detail
- Visual requirements: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
- General knowledge of workplace safety a plus
