Warehouse Team Lead Manager Support

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Baltimore, Maryland, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly, with an hourly rate of $23.50, and an additional $2.00 per hour for working 3rd shift. The schedule is Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs from 10:00pm-8:00am, with flexibility to work additional hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Absorb and orient new employees, providing necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist in promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment, such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner preferred.
• A valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Maintains composure under pressure.
• Working using health and safety methods.
• Knowledge or experience with an RF scanner advanced required (for some positions).

• Bilingual (For Québec locations only) - Knowledge or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.

Pay

• Weekly pay.
• Hourly pay: $23.50 per hour.
• Overtime pay: $35.25 per hour when working 3rd shift.
• Additional pay: $2.00 per hour when working 3rd shift.

Schedule

• Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs from 10:00pm-8:00am.
• Flexible to work additional hours depending on business need.
