About the role

S&S Activewear is seeking an Inventory Control (IC) Team Lead to provide support to the Receiving & IC manager/supervisor and directly interact with the IC team.

The IC Team Lead will ensure compliance of the procedures, communicate goals, safety practices, and provide ongoing guidance and support to the employee as they complete their action plans. All S&S Activewear employees must adhere and enforce the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

The Team Lead at S&S Activewear provides guidance and direct feedback to all team members within assigned tasks. They ensure that proper processes are followed and that errors are addressed quickly. They assist in training of new and present employees and the upkeep of the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

  • Work and collaborate with leadership team for process improvements and provide support throughout the DC.
  • Efficiently monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping of products ensuring they meet company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Operate required machinery with specified departments, which may include cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers.
  • Follow & commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, & efficiency.
  • Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
  • Maintain required processed/procedure audits.
  • Train in customer service duties as required.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center.
  • Follows all SOPs, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Acts professionally and remains focused – contributing to a culture and environment focused on a safe working environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and be willing to cross train.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to use electronic devices.
  • Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
  • Must be flexible with start and departure time changing. Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Responsible for any additional duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest).

Physical Demands

  • The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
  • The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
