Warehouse Team Lead - Shipping (MON-FRI)
About the role
The shipping department Team Lead will provide direct interaction with all team members involved in shipping orders, provide assistance and guidance to employees on issues related to the shipping department, monitor employees of specific areas, give feedback to the people, and adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.
Responsibilities
- Must have a positive “can-do” attitude
- Responsible for aisle patrol
- Verify and enforce safety compliance
- Verify and enforce compliance of the SOPs
- Monitor time per task reports
- Monitor location issues reports
- Trouble Shoot and resolve issues related to the shipping process
- EOD stock chaser audits (cars clean, trash thrown, tablets/scanners plugged and charged in correct spot)
- Provide involvement in the planning and execution of Special Projects related to shipping process
- Provide leadership to the shipping team
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Good interpersonal, relationship building and employee coaching/development skills
- Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to operate a warehouse cart
- Able to follow detailed instructions/detailed oriented
- Able to use electronic devices such as tablets, radios, scanners, etc.
- Have the physical strength and dexterity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand and walk for 8+ hours per day
- Able to bend, stoop, and twist on a regular basis
- Able to work independently without close supervision and within a team
- Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
- Able to communicate, understand, and read in English
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime when required
Qualifications
- Physical demands: Stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs., moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery
- Working environment: Entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool, around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise
