About the role
The Warehouse Support Rep II is a leadership role within the Columbus, OH warehouse, supporting the Supervisor and overall warehouse operations. This position provides relief during absences and ensures smooth daily functions.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm EST, 30-minute lunch, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse operations: ensure correct freight processing, audit pieces for accuracy, and maintain appropriate staffing.
- Process freight on the floor as needed, including loading and unloading trailers.
- Administrative processing:
- Create routing sheets in Beacon (ERP system) to inform operations about customers and trucks.
- Set up the first truck for departure, including paperwork preparation.
- Create labels for specific customers.
- Generate daily reports: piece count, line haul weights, skid numbers, and ensure Induction and Branch ops reports are complete.
- Review TSD exception reports to confirm no local trucks are listed under exceptions.
- Scan and email Customs CCI and PARS documents.
- Perform Beacon data entry.
- Train new hires and lead cross-training between warehouse and office processing.
- Communicate with internal departments (e.g., District Quality Service Managers, Customer Support) to ensure accurate freight processing, track and trace updates, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with drivers and carriers to schedule pick-ups as needed.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations and freight processing experience.
- Experience with Beacon or a similar ERP system preferred.
- Experience leading a team preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Ability to work productively in an independent environment with broad policies and general objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Flexibility for occasional shift changes during peak season.
- Physical demands: continual lifting, lowering, and sliding packages weighing 25–35 lbs., up to 70 lbs.; ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
