About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective supervision and running of venue distribution and warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, purchasing, ordering, lay-ins, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This role provides high-level event oversight, technical proficiency, and operational support to ensure smooth event execution. The Warehouse Supervisor actively supervises, coaches, and mentors employees to meet company quality standards. Excellent attendance, open availability, professional presentation, and strong management skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee product purchasing, ordering, receiving, and distribution control for the venue.
- Maintain established procedures for tracking purchase orders, requisitions, receiving dockets, and inventory; report deviations to the Operations Manager.
- Supervise sanitation and organization of all warehouse storage areas.
- Assist with premium services or concessions event operations as directed.
- Supervise part-time warehouse staff for event lay-ins, requisitioning, post-event breakdown, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to the purchase order system; verify specifications, quantities, and proper labeling of received goods.
- Maintain appropriate stocking levels, product rotation, and integrity for each event.
- Oversee product transfers between locations, including follow-up documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance on concession and utility equipment, including portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting.
- Ensure manifested equipment is in location.
- Conduct post-event walk-throughs of commissary, warehouse, and storage areas to ensure cleanliness.
- Serve as the opening or closing manager on duty for daily operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of foodservice or hospitality warehouse experience; venue experience a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Food service certification.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $26.78.
