Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

This position provides direct daily supervision of warehouse associates to achieve operational objectives while adhering to quality, safety, inventory control, and customer satisfaction guidelines in Hebron, KY.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement work schedules and assignments to meet customer demands.
• Conduct regular warehouse tours to answer questions, evaluate operations, solve problems, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and sanitation procedures.
• Make recommendations to the Operations Manager on programs and procedures to improve warehouse operations.
• Ensure efficient utilization of equipment.
• Schedule and conduct staff meetings.
• Track and manage employee paid time off and absenteeism.
• Participate in the interview process and make hiring recommendations to the Operations Manager.
• Establish employee goals, provide coaching and training, conduct performance reviews, and perform disciplinary action in coordination with the Operations Manager.
• Ensure current and accurate inventory count and location for each account.
• Enforce and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Establish and maintain professional and courteous relationships with all customers.
• Assist in ensuring the security of the facility, its employees, contents, and surroundings.
• Ensure a documented training program is in place for all job functions.
• Ensure the safety program complies with VG Management requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, supervision, organization, and planning.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and warehouse management system technology.
• Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office and software applications, with accurate typing skills (25 wpm minimum).
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
