About the role
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Forest Park, GA, plant, a manufacturer of quality refrigerated dough. Your role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations of the facility and involves supervising a team of warehouse team members, coordinating preventive and corrective activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to supervisors and team members, including assigning tasks and ensuring targets and schedules are met.
- Act as a liaison among the warehouse, company plants and warehouses, and corporate operations to address problems and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Actively participate in all employee safety-related activities, fostering an environment that values and insists on safe work practices.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to the timely and accurate receiving and shipping of inventory.
- Review warehouse invoices against contracted pricing, approve for payment, and post invoices for payables.
- Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and foster an environment of employee engagement, empowerment, and teamwork, particularly in relation to CI, LEAN, and other change-driven areas.
- Monitor and evaluate worker performance and provide constructive feedback, including corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the warehouse area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of two to three years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with at least one year in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inventory management.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
This is a full-time, on-site role on second shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts.
