Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood and Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA, with corporate offices in Memphis, TN.

About the role

Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping operations, including shipping customer orders, fulfilling internal shipping requirements, ensuring shipment accuracy and supporting documentation, receiving incoming materials, logging inventory transactions, and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety, environmental rules, and regulations applicable to the position.
  • Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Delegate and assign tasks and targets; evaluate staff performance.
  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior.
  • Evaluate performance and administer appropriate guidance to employees.
  • Utilize and demonstrate (for training) use of electronic inventory scanning equipment.
  • Monitor loading and receiving operations.
  • Receive packaged products and inbound supplies.
  • Cross-train with Operations and provide backup as a Production Supervisor when needed.
  • Conduct weekly toolbox training.
  • Monitor inventory regularly and conduct monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Complete all associated paperwork and reports correctly.
  • Operate forklift and provide forklift operation training to employees.
  • Act as fill-in for the Superintendent in their area in case of absence.
  • Attend daily production and quality meetings.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; BS in a related degree or program preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficient use of internet, MS Office Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to become proficient in inventory management systems utilized by the company.
  • Knowledge and accurate use of RF/scanning inventory systems.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Must be able to walk throughout the plant for up to eight-plus (8+) hours at a time, including walking and climbing up/down stairs and ladders (portable, fixed).
  • Appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell, and touch) to identify and react to normal, abnormal, and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.).
  • Ability to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication at all organizational levels.

Pay

$62,000 - $82,700 annually
