Warehouse Supervisor
Magnetics, a division of Spang & Company, is a leading global supplier of precision soft magnetic components and materials for the electronics industry. We specialize in research, design, and production of high-quality powder cores, ferrite cores, and tape-wound cores for applications such as chokes, inductors, filters, transformers, and power supply components used in alternative energy, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), telecommunications, aerospace, military, medical, and other electronics systems.
About the role
This position directs, supervises, and participates in all warehouse functions at our Phoenix, AZ (West Valley) facility. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for overseeing efficient and on-time shipments, receipt and transfer of goods and materials, and daily warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage advanced ERP (IFS Cloud) transactions and act as the resident system expert
- Oversee inventory setup, control, cycle counts, and reconciliation
- Ensure physical upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities
- Maintain compliance with company policies, regulations, and legislative changes for domestic and international shipping and receiving
- Maintain safety records and staff certifications
- Support recruitment, training, and supervision of warehouse employees, including coaching, counseling, and discipline
- Operate forklifts, train others, and perform tasks requiring lifting up to 75 pounds
Requirements
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Five years of equivalent experience in warehouse management and international shipping
- Five years of diversified business experience in warehouse operations
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to speak and read Spanish is preferred
