Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order processing, quality control, and shipping of rubber products.
  • Maintenance of accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and implementing efficient replenishment and restocking processes to optimize stock levels.
  • Ensuring warehouse operations comply with safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and addressing potential safety hazards.
  • Implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures to safeguard the condition and quality of rubber products during storage and distribution.
  • Supervision, training, and leading of warehouse staff, conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Identification of opportunities for process improvement, layout optimization, and automation to enhance warehouse efficiency.
  • Coordination of order processing, packaging, and shipping, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Management of relationships with suppliers and logistics providers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Management of warehouse-related expenses, including labor costs, equipment maintenance, and inventory holding costs.
  • Generation of reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics, and providing regular insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications may be advantageous.
  • Several years of experience in warehouse management or a related role, preferably in the rubber or industrial manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control practices, and quality control procedures.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and tools.
  • Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to train, motivate, and lead a team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Must possess good physical dexterity and have the ability to perform manual tasks and body movement, including walking, standing, and/or climbing.
  • Regularly required to be on their feet for 8 hours or more.
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust, odors, and fumes.
