Job Responsibilities
- Lead shipping team in execution of daily operations, including improving efficiency of tasks and management of warehouse resources
- Analyze appropriate data to help with best use of all resources
- Cook daily activities of forklift operators
- Cook daily activities of forklift operators
- Cook daily activities of forklift operators
- Coordinate daily activities of forklift operators
- Utilize team and resources to manage loading / unloading of trucks
- Check-in drivers and verify correct load numbers
- Print bills of lading
- Ensure team is adhering to organizational safety protocols; perform safety meetings daily
- Aid in the training of new hires
- Periodically report to supervisor on team and individual work accomplishments, progress, and problems
- Aid in the physical inventory of raw material or finished goods; Ensure accuracy/ adherence to inventory process
Position Requirements/Qualifications
- Positive, open-minded, strong leadership skills, and be able to display outstanding customer service
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to establish effective working relationships with persons at all levels of the organization
- Safety must be of high importance and priority
- Analytical with commitment to accuracy, quality, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Time management, efficiency, and an ability to meet tight deadlines
Education
- A High School Diploma/GED is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree or 2 years relevant work experience is preferred.
