About the role
Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all warehouse functions, including inventory movement, ordering, processing, shipping, and receiving.
Responsibilities
- Ensures effective warehouse performance and maintains inventory control of parts, including monitoring cycle counts, accuracy of orders picked and shipped, proper placement of parts into inventory, and warehouse equipment.
- Maintains warehouse standards, including warehouse layout, inventory placement, and warehouse cleanliness and safety.
- Works with Parts Manager and Director to supervise and coordinate annual inventory counts.
- Coordinates and schedules location delivery vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Oversees the shipping and receiving functions at all locations.
- Oversees dispatcher or dispatching at the location.
- Hires and maintains staff of qualified warehouse and delivery driver personnel.
- May provide maintenance of warehouse facility.
- Be safe, avoid injury, and promote a safe work environment through positive actions.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all Company proprietary and confidential information.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies.
- Interact well and cooperatively with other employees.
Supervision
Supervises all warehouse and delivery driver personnel, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
- This position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. The background check may include verification of criminal history, employment history, educational credentials, and professional references.
