Responsibilities
- Directly supervises Warehouse Department employees, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work; scheduling and managing overtime; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Keep all aspects of inventory accurate, whether receiving off the floor or from outside vendors.
- Manage housekeeping in the dock area.
- Ensure all product quality and safety processes are followed consistently, promoting a safe work environment.
- Follow all safety and policy procedures as set forth by NewCold.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold and long periods on foot on hard surfaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Requirements
- Motivated self-starter with the desire to learn and the ability to lead others.
- Flexibility to assist with other shifts as needed.
- Some travel may be required.
Schedule
This position requires flexibility, with the understanding that the employee may be asked to assist with other shifts as needed.
