Warehouse Supervisor

About the role
This onsite position is located at our facility in Browns Summit, NC. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees hiring, termination, direction, and performance of associates, as well as functional areas of the warehouse including receiving, shipping, returns, picking, packing, checking, stocking, order filling, and management of the cage/vault. The role ensures compliance with safety guidelines, DEA regulations, and all relevant policies and procedures. The Warehouse Supervisor directs workflow, motivates and trains associates, monitors performance, and implements process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage warehouse associates, including hiring, termination, training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee receiving, ensuring only intended products are accepted and daily logs are accurately maintained.
- Direct staff in counting, weighing, and identifying shipped items; verify materials against invoices, bills of lading, and customer orders.
- Oversee order filling, double-checking, and shipping of controlled substances with assistance from cage/vault clerks.
- Maintain detailed records of delivery processes, including time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials shipped.
- Ensure timely customer deliveries by overseeing route manifests and departures.
- Resolve customer issues related to delivery or order fulfillment.
- Maintain records of the order-filling process, including quantity, size, strength, and NDC numbers.
- Ensure quality packing to protect breakable items and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Maintain highly detailed records of incoming and outgoing controlled substances in the cage/vault area.
- Track attendance, monitor performance, and manage overtime for associates in the assigned area.
- Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and DEA regulations.
- Suggest and implement modifications to improve productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Schedule
The schedule is a rotating monthly shift:
- Month 1: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM to close.
- Month 2: Sunday–Thursday, with Sunday 8:00 AM to close and Monday–Thursday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (approximately).
This rotation continues month over month. The role may require extended hours, weekend on-call rotation, and participation in physical inventory as scheduled.
Requirements
- Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar, generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, such as a reach truck, may be required.
