Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor at the University of St. Thomas manages and coordinates the activities of the warehouse department. In this position, the Supervisor opens the warehouse and assigns daily tasks to the warehouse team. The Supervisor helps manage the merchandise and product inventory and relays that information to purchasing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows correct inventory procedures and is responsible for leading team members on month end inventory counting for warehouse spaces and reporting any concerns or issues to purchasing management for follow-up.
- Assist purchasing leadership team with inputting month end inventory counts.
- Partner with the purchasing leadership team to maintain business necessitated warehouse stock levels by communicating usages before, after and during events as well as on a weekly basis.
- Fills gaps between the management warehouse workers and hourly works to make sure that all inventory and goods are tracked and taken care of.
- Oversee concessions utility team members, including daily direction of staff to complete tasks as assigned and walking condiment storage spaces and giving additional direction when needed.
- Oversee warehouse team, including daily direction of staff to complete tasks as assigned to set up for the next event.
- Ensures proper control and handling of equipment including repairs and maintenance requests.
- Responsible for printing and follow up of premium pull sheets and non-charge stock sheets.
- Follows Levy standard steps of service.
- Employs good safety and sanitation practices, including monthly safety audits and completion of temperature logs for all warehouse spaces.
- Maintains organization in warehouse locations with stock and inventory, including making sure all products are properly stored, rotated and dated in accordance with Levy guidelines.
- Responsible for completion of daily inspections and submission of inspections to purchasing department leadership for review weekly.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the warehouse corkboard including workload breakdown, daily tasks, events and property specific materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
- Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate equipment such as phone, standard office equipment and pallet jack.
- Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
