Responsibilities
- Supervise/lead the team in your assigned department (if applicable)
- Be present, continuously moving throughout the DC to ensure that all of the teams are operating safely and efficiently
- Maintain the building and all assets to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
- Ensure all equipment is operational, if it is not, follow lock out procedures and escalate
- Maintain open communication with Team members, Department Supervisors, ADs/Director and HR (when needed)
- Develop your team. Help Lufa develop tomorrow’s Team Leads by coaching, mentoring and providing continuous feedback
- Complete weekly 1-1’s with your team leads
- Review all reports, as required by your Supervisor and provide detailed action plans to improve
- Lead by example
- Complete all tasks on daily checklist, if applicable
- Undertake continuous improvement projects
- Manage staffing levels appropriately. Must be able to project staffing needs for the upcoming days/week
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings
- Monitor productivity of team members, manage performance
- Be firm. If someone is not meeting expectations, lay out the expectations in a documented conversation
- Follow up with the team daily, either in shift meetings, 1-1’s or coaching conversations
- Build up your team. Positive feedback is just as important as constructive feedback. Ensure that your team feels appreciated and supported
Requirements
- Team Member applicants: Must have completed a minimum of one year of service at Lufa Farms as a Team Member
- Team lead experience at Lufa Farms
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to act rationally under pressure
- Strategic thinker with strong skills in logistics and organization
- Ability to set boundaries, expectations and impose limits
- Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience managing a team
- Ability to set up and maintain operational standards
- Must be a critical thinker, always on the lookout for a better way of doing things

- Salary is to be determined based on the experience and knowledge of the candidate
