Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies.
• Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees.
• Responsible for the assignment of workloads to warehouse workers.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Processes all in and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items as necessary.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department.
• Straightens work area and rotates/fronts merchandise for easy and accurate access.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Accurately record quantities of materials or items received, stored, and distributed.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Clean-up and general housekeeping are required which may include dusting area and merchandise, sweeping, mopping and removing boxes and clutter from the work area.
• Supports the branch with counter sales support.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Pass and maintain organizational forklift certification.
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
• The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Microsoft Office Suite & POS/ERP System Knowledge.

Physical Demands

• Required to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, stretch, kneel, squat, push, pull, and move about the facility for the entirety of the shift.
• Ability to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc.
