About the Role
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and actively participates in daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials and inventory. This role manages incoming and outgoing inventory, prepares work assignments for warehouse associates, trains new employees on equipment and procedures, and monitors compliance with safety and quality standards. The supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams to support production schedules, inventory accuracy, and logistics efficiency while driving continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and finished goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory handling and proper documentation of all warehouse transactions.
- Audit and report inventory, providing recommendations on items to order and restock.
- Monitor workplace performance and maintain all standards of quality as stated by IMMI and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce compliance with SOPs and company policies.
- Oversee the safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse associates to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to company policies.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct training initiatives to help team members understand operational goals and gain professional satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages promptly.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure materials availability aligns with production requirements.
- Utilize record-keeping of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and develop strategies for growth.
- Enforce all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety inspections, maintain safety records, and provide training for warehouse employees.
- Investigate incidents or near-misses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
- Generate and review reports on inventory levels, order accuracy, and warehouse performance metrics.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain processes and operational excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse supervision, materials handling, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- Comprehensive understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other relevant computer software.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety regulations, and warehouse best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Forklift and powered industrial truck certification.
- Strong background in inventory management, cycle counting, process optimization, and workflow improvement.

- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment
- RF scanners and barcode systems
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to visually inspect and interpret designs on screen and in print.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
- Requires working and interacting with others, both in person and through phone, electronic, and written correspondence.
- Requires the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, maintain attention to detail, and perform focused work.
- May require motions such as standing or sitting for extended periods, stepping up & down, balancing, bending, reaching, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting, observing, hearing, grasping, pressing, and other repetitive actions.
- May require continuous motion throughout the day, utilization of tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles.
- May work with and/or around potentially dangerous equipment.
- When in the warehouse, this position requires working with dirt/dust and noise; proper PPE is required.
- Requires working in various temperature conditions.

Monday - Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm)
