About the role

Oversee daily operations of all warehouse activity, ensuring efficient workflow, safety, and inventory accuracy. Collaborate with logistics and operations teams, maintain warehouse systems, and operate equipment as needed. Responsible for facility upkeep and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Requires the ability to lift heavy items and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with workload and client demands.
  • Lead warehouse staff, process operational paperwork, and maintain accurate records to support logistics efforts.
  • Provide direction to the team and help meet service and performance goals in collaboration with the Local Operations Department.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel, assist the Warehouse Manager with evaluations, and maintain strong working relationships with contract, local drivers, and employees.
  • Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure inventory is accurately tracked.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet wrapping machines.
  • Oversee upkeep of facility systems including alarms, pest control, and sprinklers.
  • Coordinate with operations supervisors, office staff, and drivers to ensure smooth workflows and minimize claims through proper handling procedures.
  • Process paperwork, maintain files, and ensure receipt of service providers' documentation.
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an established, accredited university preferred.
  • Two to four years of warehouse experience.
  • Six months to one year of recent forklift experience.
  • One to two years’ experience in the moving, storage, or logistics industry.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50-100 lbs. alone and up to 400 lbs. with a team.
  • Comfortable working in varied warehouse conditions and temperatures.
