Warehouse Supervisor
Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising personnel, assigning workflow, and overseeing the processing of supplies in the receiving, shipping, and picking/packing functions in the warehouse. The supervisor will ensure all employees adhere to policies and procedures of the company.
What you will do:
- Ensure our clinicians have the supplies they need to provide our patients with high quality care
- Works with manager to provide quality reports and feedback to the warehouse staff
- Frequently interacts with management and other functional groups within the organization
- Oversees new employee training program certifying all functions of the job have been reviewed, understood, and signed off
- Develops team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Responsible for warehouse employee development plans, annual performance reviews and providing consistent feedback on employee performance
- Delivers guidance to material handlers ensuring efficient workflow in the receiving and shipping areas
- Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence
- Ensures material handlers are keeping receiving areas, shipping areas, aisles, and racks free of hazards or obstructions
- Runs reports and review/monitor KPIs and implement plans accordingly to ensure operation is successfully meeting KPIs set forth
- Directs staff to perform routine cycle counts and investigate discrepancies found in cycle counting process
- Performs and oversees physical inventory
- Ensures all job assignments are completed accurately and free of exception as supervisor will conduct periodic audits against company standards
- Provides a safe working environment for employees
- Conduct duties in a manner that provides and promotes employee safety and complies with all OSHA standards
- Able to operate forklift or other PIT as needed which certification will be required
- Able to perform all duties of a material handler as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- One year of material management Experience Required
