About the role
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage a team of Warehouse Associates and oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. Key responsibilities include receiving and recording new inventory, conducting physical inventory, replenishing stock, supervising staff, and resolving routine equipment issues.
Responsibilities
- Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
- Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
- Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
- Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.
- Supervises Warehouse Lead Workers or Warehouse Workers to ensure timely reports of products billed to retailers, but not shipped, to insure timely preparation of credit memos.
- Reports on building security, vehicle security and warehouse loading productivity.
- Affords assistance with hiring and training of new employees.
- Schedules and oversees warehouse staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
- Maintains a record of expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.
- Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in distribution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with State laws.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business or similar discipline preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

- Ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
