Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and directs warehouse operations, supervises warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, and supports the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Maintains warehouse equipment through preventive maintenance programs and communicates necessary repairs to CEM and/or Operations Manager.
• Safeguards a safe and clean workplace for employees and complies with OSHA regulations.
• Trains and enforces adherence to standard operating procedures.

• Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Credential in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong computer skills, including Windows-based systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
  • Availability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

  • Physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
