Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and directs warehouse operations in retail stores. They also manage warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, and support the Receiving Supervisor in managing daily freight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Maintains storage buy transactions, handles receiving errors, and stages products.
• Maintains warehouse equipment through preventive maintenance and communicates necessary repairs.
• Ensures a safe and clean workplace, trains employees, and follows standard operating procedures.
• Handles employee inquiries, resolves issues, coordinates with other departments, and completes activity reports.
• Executes Storage Buy Audit COP, ensures inventory staging and compliance, and manages inventory rotation.
• Works extended hours during peak seasons.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic mathematical calculations and strong computer skills (Windows-based systems).
• Physical ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally and 20-30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
