About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the accurate receiving, loading, storing, and executing of shipment orders. They must be prepared to work shifts as required by the branch and execute updates in the computer system.
Responsibilities
- Counts all products, takes weight, compares to manifest, and checks for damage, shortage, overage, and other discrepancies. Reports findings on appropriate forms.
- If assigned, must be a qualified forklift driver, unloads inbound shipments safely, and moves product to assigned storage locations.
- Maximizes space usage by properly and safely putting away items onto racks, locations, or ready rows using the company system and scripts.
- Ensures the correct number and type of product are being handled, transports orders to shipping locations or assigned doors with material handling equipment, reviews markings, addresses on cargo, and ensures correct reference labels are on the cargo.
- Compares quantity, labeling, and address with orders to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Signs necessary documents for record keeping and uses system scripts. Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles.
- Maintains equipment and ensures warehouse areas are neat, clean, and orderly. Operates equipment safely and efficiently. Complies with local, OSHA, and Expeditors' standards.
- Keeps accurate records and reports. Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts. May key inventory adjustments into the company system.
- Repacks or re-boxes cases per customer instructions. Repairs and re-boxes damaged goods as required. Operates shrink-wrap machine, manual shrink-wrap, applies plastic and metal bands if assigned.
- Ensures compliance with TSA and CCSF requirements. Executes company procedures and policies. Maintains security.
Requirements
- 2 years of industry-specific qualifications
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Pro-active, strong organizational skills
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Fully fluent in English
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper lifting techniques. The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
- Fork-lift certification will be required within 3 months of employment.

Hours of position are 8am-5pm during training period and then will be 11am-8pm.
