About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Warehouse Team and reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. Their primary responsibility is to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in safety and warehouse processes training
  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse (including building and equipment maintenance following safety regulations; trash cleanup, facility repairs or equipment repair)
  • Manage the workflow for major warehouse tasks (receiving, shipping, maintenance and quality control)
  • Manage team members and create schedules
  • Resolve problems related to daily operations in receiving, shipping, maintenance and quality control
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify productivity areas to measure and assist in generating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Director of Warehouse Operations and Warehouse Manager
  • Interpret KPIs and guide the team towards achieving set goals
  • Schedule all incoming shipments (domestic and overseas) and update relevant programs
  • Create and schedule shipments of defective or damaged items back to vendors
  • Conduct equipment operator training
  • Order warehouse supplies and equipment
  • Schedule warehouse equipment maintenance
  • Process claims for defective or damaged products
  • Communicate via email with other distribution centers, vendors, or manufacturers
  • Oversee the performance management of warehouse staff
  • Assist in physical labor when needed

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of Warehouse Lead experience
  • Highly motivated performer with strong leadership skills
  • Versatile and agile with solid computer skills
  • Familiarity with relevant programs and processes
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines
