Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor position at CHAMPRO is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse team within a 200,000 square foot distribution center in Bannockburn, Illinois. This role requires influencing the team to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises warehouse team members and daily activities
• Fosters a positive workplace culture through employee engagement
• Manages, evaluates, and reports on warehouse productivity
• Tracks and coordinates the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Drives a safety culture through safety meetings and ensuring a safe work environment
• Orders supplies and maintains suitable inventory levels
• Communicates and coordinates with both internal and external customers
• Creates shift turnover reports for extended leadership team
• Hires, trains, and monitors employee performance against company KPI’s
• Prepares and reconciles required production and inventory reports
• Cross-trains employees in all warehouse operations
• Provides project assistance to Operations Manager or Director as required
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as occupational health and safety regulations
• Undertakes other duties as assigned
• Proactively manages advanced replens, direct moves, and letdowns daily

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
• GED or higher, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Understanding of shipping logistics preferred
• Previous experience in a distribution facility preferred
• Previous experience in performance management
• Flexibility to cover any shifts as needed
• LEAN Warehousing experience a plus
• Prior Power Equipment experience preferred
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

Qualifications

• Must be able to interact with Champro customers and teammates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and data entry software
• Previous SAP/WMS/RF or related experience preferred
• Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
