Responsibilities

  • Hire, terminate, direct and evaluate associates.
  • Oversee functional areas of the warehouse including receiving, shipping, returns, picking, packing, checking, stocking, order filling, returns and management of the cage/vault.
  • Oversee verification and record keeping of outgoing shipments of controlled substances to customers.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
  • Direct workflow, motivate, train and monitor performance of warehouse associates.
  • Monitor work processes and suggest modifications to increase productivity, efficiency and accuracy; implement changes as directed or needed.
  • Support compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and DEA regulations.
  • Coach employees to support their development.
  • Supervise receipt of merchandise; ensure only products intended for the Distribution Center are accepted; maintain daily logs with accurate information relative to products received.
  • Oversee department staff in counting, weighing and identifying items being shipped; check materials against invoices, bills of lading, customer orders and similar documents.
  • Oversee department staff in filling orders, double-checking and shipping controlled substances with assistance of cage/vault clerks or order fillers.
  • Maintain records of the delivery process including time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials shipped.
  • Oversee manifests of routes and departures to ensure timely customer deliveries.
  • May interact with customers to resolve delivery or order filling issues.
  • Ensure maintenance of records documenting order-filling process including quantity, size, strength and NDC numbers.
  • Oversee quality of packing, protecting breakable items to ensure merchandise arrives satisfactorily.
  • Ensure maintenance of highly detailed records documenting incoming and outgoing controlled substances into the cage/vault area.
  • Track attendance, monitor performance and manage overtime for associates in area of responsibility.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.

  • Proficiency to operate a reach truck, if required.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, participate in weekend on-call rotation as needed, and take part in physical inventory when scheduled.

Pay

Full time

Salary Range: $59,500 – $119,020 (National average; actual range may vary by location). In certain states (Colorado, California, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Illinois), the range may be up to 10% lower than the minimum or 12% higher than the maximum.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 5:00 am to complete. Flexibility in schedule required based on business needs; may include working different hours or days.

This position is located onsite at the facility in Des Moines, WA. No remote or hybrid work option.
