Warehouse Supervisor
Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Distribution Center Regional Manager. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for training and supervising associates, reducing operational costs, monitoring the department's compliance with operational policies, and keeping up to date with the progress of administrative tasks. To be successful as a Warehouse Supervisor, the candidate should be result-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ultimately, a top-performing Warehouse Supervisor has excellent leadership, project management, and administrative management skills. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily receiving operations.
Supervise and assign tasks to Warehouse Associates based on business needs and customer priority.
Review warehouse processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Update any changes to receiving processes and retrain warehouse personnel as needed.
Care for facility management, coordinating product flow, facility layout, security, and maintenance activities.
Oversee the partnership with LTL (less than a load) providers, including cost control, damage claim rate, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure inbound trucks are efficiently unloaded and that all products are properly received and put away in the correct locations.
Manage staff scheduling and attendance based on the needs of the warehouse.
Manage individual staff performance through ongoing feedback, support, and provision of resources.
Promote a culture of high performance, customer service, and accountability.
Communicate effectively through email to internal and external customers.
Manage cost management, ability to manage and drive a team effectively to reduce cost and labor spend while maintaining best-in-class services.
Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, and attention to detail required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Associate degree preferred.
HVAC experience preferred.
Proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of warehouse leadership experience.
