Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate storage, handling, and distribution of goods. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety and operational excellence in alignment with ANSA McAL’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate stock levels by monitoring inventory, conducting regular cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies.
• Enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all employees.
• Ensure all goods are handled and stored in compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure timely and efficient dispatch of products.
• Prepare and submit reports on warehouse operations, inventory status, and staff performance to management.
• Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions to enhance warehouse efficiency.
• Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment, reporting any issues for repair or replacement.

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
