Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in material movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Reviews shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products.
• Provides the highest level of customer service to the Production team to maximize company success.
• Hires and trains staff, communicates job expectations, and implements company policies and procedures.
• Develops schedules and assigns work to team members to ensure efficient flow of inventory from the warehouse to the production floor.
• Reviews and approves hours worked on a reoccurring basis.
• Evaluates inventory organization for most efficient space utilization and makes recommendations to improve processes.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and/or daily checks.
• Safeguards inventory by ensuring it is appropriately labeled and placed in the accurate bin locations.
• Ensures forklift safety inspections are completed.
• Supervises salvage of damaged or used material and that appropriate action is taken.
• Logs non-conforming product and verifies returned goods.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 5 years of warehouse or storeroom supervisor experience.
• Licenses: None
• Certifications: AAON Forklift Certification
