Position Summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in tire, undercar parts, and lubricant distribution. The schedule for this position is: Sunday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM or until work is completed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs, and may require overtime.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
  • Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Safeguards the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Aids in process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
  • Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately, stock products correctly.
  • Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries, load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
  • Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise, restock inventory in appropriate place.
  • Operates power equipment, including fork-lift.
  • Assists with outbound freight of vendor returns, paperwork for all warranty product, unloads customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
  • Good memory and scanning abilities.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.
  • Able to learn to use a forklift.
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy.
  • Successfully passes a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds.
  • Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline).

Division
