Position Summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in tire, undercar parts, and lubricant distribution. The schedule for this position is: Sunday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM or until work is completed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs, and may require overtime.

Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
Safeguards the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
Aids in process improvement initiatives.
Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
Continually enforces productivity standards.
Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately, stock products correctly.
Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries, load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise, restock inventory in appropriate place.
Operates power equipment, including fork-lift.
Assists with outbound freight of vendor returns, paperwork for all warranty product, unloads customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.

Qualifications

3 years of related experience.
Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers.
Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
Good memory and scanning abilities.
Good communication and math skills.
Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.
Able to learn to use a forklift.
May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy.
Successfully passes a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds.
Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline).

Division
