Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Romeoville, IL. This role supports distribution across the US, working with pet food items and equipment including stand-up forklifts, slip sheet forklifts, and EPJs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules
• Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses
• Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve any problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years warehouse experience
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Working knowledge of WMS systems
• Forklift experience
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $24.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $36.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $3.00 per hour when assigned to third shift

Schedule

3rd Shift: Wednesday 12:00am-6:00am, Thursday - Saturday 6:00pm-6:00am
