SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Responsible for selecting product from an assigned area according to the pick slip

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately select product from a pre-assigned location according to the pick slips; read the nomenclature and unit of measure of the product requested and confirm with the product in the bin location
• Properly pack product in each container as indicated by the cubing function in the sequence of pick-slips
• Follows proper guidelines to ensure no damage to product during loading or shipping
• Note load number on particular boxes
• Note when product is available or unavailable on pick-slip
• Reports to work on time and complete duties in a timely manner
• Process and communicate information effectively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly stand, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently walk, occasionally talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Close vision, ability to adjust focus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Near moving mechanical parts
• In outdoor weather conditions
• May occasionally work in wet humid conditions
• Some selectors work in refrigerators and freezers, provided with protective gear
• Noise level is usually moderate
