About the role
We are immediately hiring a Security Supervisor of Warehousing in Boston, MA for our Supply Chain Solutions division.
Responsibilities
- Supervises security staff for the safety and protection of all Ryder personnel at the Boston, MA Facility.
- Ensures that access control is maintained at all times.
- Develops security procedures to be adhered to by security staff.
- Ensures that equipment pertinent to the security operation is serviced and maintained and in operable condition.
- Purchases tools pertinent to the operation of the security department at the Boston, MA facility and ensures billing is correct.
- Investigates reported thefts and security violations and contacts employees and/or visitors regarding infractions of security procedures or regulations.
- Responds to emergency medical situations.
Requirements
- H.S. diploma/GED required.
- Associate's degree preferred in related field.
- Five (5) years or more experience in Security or Law Enforcement required.
- Three (3) years or more spent at supervisor or above level required.
- Law Enforcement School Certification.

- A good public relations image is essential and maintaining good rapport with peers and superiors is necessary.

- Schedules staff for shift work.
- Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills.
- Decision to hire and terminate.
- Keeps track of the movement of data, people, or things.
- Purchases materials necessary for operation of department.
- Listsens, writes, and speaks effectively.
- Provides employees with security and development procedures to be followed by staff.
- Schedules staff for shift work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Works independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexible to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Pay
Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
Annual Salary Pay: $72,500 per year based on experience.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Employee must be flexible and open to working additional days and hours as needed to support operations.

- Compensation Information: The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.
- The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
- Compensation ranges for the position are below: Pay Type Salaried Minimum Pay Range 72500 Maximum Pay Range 72500.
