About the role
GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer. As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will monitor screens, spot threats before they escalate in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc., using sharp observation skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
- Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
- Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
- Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
- Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass an extensive screening process
- Valid Maryland security license
- Prior security or logistics experience (preferred)
- Reside within a 30‑40 minute radius of the work site
- Ability to report to work in inclement weather
- Willingness to hold over when needed
- Flexibility is a plus

- Strong report writing skills

- Strong proficiency with technology
- Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus

Pay
Competitive hourly wage of $18.72 per hour.
Schedule
Site location: North East, MD. Schedule options: 3rd Shift – Tuesday‑Saturday, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am (40 hours per week); 2nd and 3rd shift – flexible schedule, on‑call officer 8 to 16 hours per week.
