NEAG is looking for a Warehouse Representative to play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. This includes selecting outbound products, receiving inbound shipments, and maintaining accurate records.Key Responsibilities
- Read work orders and follow verbal instructions to retrieve and place outbound products in the proper location.
- Use forklifts to safely store inbound shipments within the warehouse.
- Receive and unpack smaller pallets into mezzanine flow racks, label, and put them in stock.
- Aid managers in maintaining records of merchandise shipped.
- Inspect inventory, report defects, and comply with company policies and safety protocols.
- Report safety concerns to managers and the safety committee.
- Maintain paper and electronic files as required.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Move trash and clean warehouse floors at the end of each shift.
- Support managers with special projects and general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, or relevant experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably with inbound/outbound freight and picking/delivering various products.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong physical ability to move and lift light articles, including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling items.
- Proficiency in operating or learning to operate various power equipment, such as forklifts.
- Effective in a warehouse environment with concrete flooring and temperature changes (heat/cold).
- Punctuality and dependability.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety rules.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in a professional setting.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
