VAL-CO, a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, specializing in world-famous poultry watering and feeding systems, is seeking an Assistant Site Scheduler for our Coldwater, Ohio facility.
About the role
This position is responsible for coordinating and prioritizing the receipt, movement, and tracking of materials and purchase orders across departments and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with all departments including Purchasing, Shipping, and Production on the status of all purchase orders and any changes or adjustments noted to them.
- Organize and prioritize receiving of purchase orders, including unloading and staging of product orders.
- Identify all items on purchase order receivers accurately.
- Coordinate material movement between buildings, including cross-docking and PA cross-dock.
- Coordinate material movement between Distribution Center (DC), Manufacturing (MFG), and any outsource companies.
- Prepare purchase orders for motor freight, UPS service, and customer pick-up in a timely and efficient manner, including outsourcing arrangements.
- Tag all items as required by purchasing, internal control systems, and procedures to ensure accurate count, item name, and part labels.
- Process receipts using the internal ES system for all required purchase orders at the time of receipt.
- Verify that purchase orders are safely packaged and report any damage or discrepancies during receiving.
- Deliver received product to proper storage locations or cross-dock locations as required.
- Review reports to identify and correct any inventory misalignments between bin locations and the ES system.
- Assist team members, customers, and visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
- Complete all required paperwork and computer transactions accurately and on time.
- Ensure the department follows all safety requirements and maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Disperse and process returned goods, completing proper RMA paperwork.
- Maintain adequate inventory of receiving materials (e.g., skids, gaylords, banding, film).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Receiving/Warehousing Supervisor experience preferred.
- Ability to successfully and courteously interface with others.
- Valid Driver License.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
