Job Overview
PlanetArt is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to support the company's Quality department in Woodridge facility. The ideal candidate will supervise and train quality control inspectors, ensuring consistent application of inspection methods and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and support a team of quality control inspectors across inbound, in-process, and outbound inspection activities
- Train, coach, and support quality control inspectors to ensure consistent application of inspection methods, quality standards, and operating procedures
- Maintain accurate quality records and support updates to SOPs, inspection criteria, and other quality documentation
- Escalate critical quality concerns in a timely manner and collaborate with internal teams to drive effective resolution
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for systemic quality issues and other product nonconformances
- Partner cross-functionally with Production, Sourcing, and Product Development to support daily operations and resolve quality-related issues
- Identify recurring defects, process gaps, and quality trends, and recommend improvements to reduce repeat issues and improve overall product quality
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of quality assurance or quality control experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment
- 1+ years of experience leading, training, or supervising employees in a quality or operations setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels and departments
- Experience using warehouse management systems; High Jump WMS experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize work effectively, manage competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and perform well under pressure
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Skills, Qualifications, And Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to accurately enter, review, and analyze data
- Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and support corrective actions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and apply quality standards consistently
Working Conditions
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to heavy machinery, dust, fluctuating temperatures, and moderate noise levels
- Alternating shifts, depending on volume
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Frequent sustained walking and/or standing for prolonged periods of time
