Warehouse Planner

About the role

The Warehouse Planner is responsible for completing assigned Warehouse duties to ensure customer, team members, and vendor satisfaction. This involves effectively handling all duties related to the planning and communication of incoming and outgoing product loads and the order and movement of trailers in the warehouse yard. The role also requires providing assistance and support to all areas in the Warehouse as assigned by supervisor/lead.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned goals in warehouse distribution, safety, quality, performance, and cost.
• Comply with GMP's, SOP's, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.
• Effectively handle duties related to the planning and communication of incoming and outgoing product loads and the order and direct movement of trailers.
• Utilize Log Pro inventory management system efficiently and accurately.
• Cook out truck flow to maintain on-time loading and delivery.
• Direct loaders when to take breaks and lunches to maintain warehouse efficiencies and other needs.
• Compliant with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety on their assigned shift and report concerns to their supervisor or lead.
• Ensure work areas are sanitary and strictly adhere to sanitation practices.
• Communicate effectively between shifts and other departments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts.
• Understand and respond appropriately to basic to complex employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
• Read, write, and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.
• Knowledge of Company's mission, purpose, goals, and your role in achieving each of them.
• Ability to perform computer tasks and operating computer based systems and programs.

• Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Skills

• Physical requirements: Above average computer skills and abilities; ability to move throughout all areas of the facility including but not limited to office, production, and warehouse environments; including the outside perimeter of the building; able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions; Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break; Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, buist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and move objects exceeding 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations; Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
