Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance of the building according to Distribution’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure product is accessible for safe selection and delivery to stores.
• Clean industrial equipment, tractor trailers, and facility floors.
• Sort recycling materials and help reduce shrink by collecting damaged cases, sorting product, repackaging, and properly labeling cases.
• Follow a Master Sanitation Schedule and document completed tasks.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Successfully complete a Work Attitude Survey.
• Work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before the start date).
• Use cleaning chemicals and powered industrial equipment that require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Lift, carry, and stack product weighing up to 67 pounds (for High Velocity and Return Center roles).
• Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive work for long periods of time.
• Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside of the operator compartment.
• Work under strict time requirements.
• Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
• Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.

• In the first year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay.
• In the second year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if the associate remains employed through the issue date of the bonus check.
• In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
